Marc J. Kelash's Bio
Marc has been around music and performing, pretty much his whole life. Growing up on a small dairy farm in central Minnesota, he was always singing. His critics were not always the “typical” audiences you would think of. In fact, sometimes he would get an occasional slap in the face and a kick in the shins from some of his “favorite” cow fans, but he always kept singing anyway.
Throughout his senior school years, Marc was involved with his high school choir and performed in various musical productions. He had the chance to perform at the state level and received state superior ratings each year, for solo, duet, and barbershop performances. After high school, Marc performed at the County Stearns Theatrical Company appearing in various plays and musicals. When Marc isn’t singing, he loves to dance at weddings or even during Gone Fishin’ performances, so if you love to polka dance or waltz, please feel free to come and dance with Marc, especially if you know how to “hop polka”!
Marc is blessed with four children, three daughters, Rianna Marie, Ariel Victoria, Rebeccah Ann and one son Samuel Robert, all of which are in school and college. Marc’s lovely wife Cheryl is always around to help with the family and to offer the support needed when Marc is singing either at church or performing with Gone Fishin’.
Marc is such a spark on stage, the audiences really can’t help but being drawn to him. He is however, also known amongst the group as a little prankster. Rumor has it that it keeps them up at night wondering what he’s going to do next.
“I would like everyone to know how much of an honor it is to be a part of this group, Gone Fishin’, and how wonderful it is to perform with them.” “I thank God for the ability and the chance to spread His Word through music, song, and of course dance”!
